After last year’s successful season of the comedy "CASSEROLE CASANOVA" and the 60’s Revue "PEACE LOVE AND TIE-DYE"
The Salina Senior Theatre Project will be opening this year’s season with Kathleen Crandalls, comedy "SHENANIGANS AT THE BLUE PELICAN INN". Showing April 21-22, 2023.
Owners Sophie and George have their hands full with all their quirky lodgers at the Blue Pelican Inn, where almost anything can happen! They have developed a lot of patience and mechanical skills to deal with their strange quests. They include a family that causes headaches all the time, a matchmaker, a singer schoolteacher, a nerd, a set of older honeymooners, and a couple of snobs. After getting a big dose of southern hospitality everyone heads for home with a change of attitude and a pink flamingo for their front lawn.
The second show of the season will be the 1920’s revue “THE SPEAKEASY” go back in time and relive all the glitz and glamor of a decade gone by with a few little surprises along the way.
The Salina Senior Theatre Project is open to anyone 55 years old and over that are interested in acting, singing, and dancing regardless of theatre experience. For more information call The Senior Center at 785-827-9818 or Bob Sears, Director at 785-376-2059.
Try outs will be held at the Salina Senior Center (ballroom), 245 N. 9th Street, Salina, KS, February 2-3 at 1:00 pm. If you cannot attend call Bob Sears, Director at 785-376-2059 to schedule an alternative time.
Scrips can be picked up at the reception desk at the Salina Senior Center.
Director, Bob Sears will provide acting classes, February 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd at 1:00 pm at the Senior Center in the ballroom. Classes are free of charge
