Salary Information:

$15.91/ per hour at Step 1.


Job Duties Include:

Trains on all types of motor vehicles transactions. Becomes knowledgeable of Kansas statutes and KDOR policies and procedures pertaining to registration and renewals. Works with customers in a courteous and professional manner to provide necessary information and paperwork for processing vehicle title and registration applications, corrections, refunds, lien releases, registration renewals and other Tag Office duties as assigned. Perform telephone reception and provide information relevant to vehicle registration and licensing. Performs daily filing.  Responsible for the accuracy of transactions involving cash, checks, credit/debit cards and on-line payments. Balances cash drawer daily and identify discrepancies, take necessary and appropriate actions to correct discrepancies. Performs general office duties such as phone reception, sorting, and processing mail, assists with inventory control, files daily paperwork, and provides needed correspondence to customers and any necessary follow-up. Assists other Technicians as needed. Assists in preparing tax statements for mailing. Collects tax payments received by mail and processes them as appropriate. Enters delinquent personal property taxes into the State’s Motor Vehicle System. Occasionally works in other County offices. Collects delinquent personal property taxes for other Counties and mail payment to that County.  Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements


Minimum Qualifications:

1. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
3. Must be able to type accurately.
4. Basic computer skills desirable.
5. Must be able to work with the public and co-workers in a congenial manner.
6. High volume customers service skills desirable.

Mandatory Training and Certifications:

1. Must have successfully completed KDOR MOVRS Training and certification.
2. Must successfully complete all required KDOR on-line training and security awareness.
3. Must complete online customer service-related training as assigned by the County Treasurer.


Physical Requirements:

Determined Work Level: Level 1 – Sedentary Work

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing.
