Here is the general breakdown of fees you may typically expect for an open records request:

• The cost of reviewing and redacting records, if necessary.
• The cost of staff time, based upon the staff time required to provide records. Generally, the lowest-cost staff members who are reasonably necessary to fulfill the request.
• The cost of paper copies based upon the actual cost of printing.
• The cost of mailing fees based upon actual cost to mail or ship.
