On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act was signed into law. This Act allocates $350 billion nationwide to Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. Counties will share $65.1 billion of this amount via direct allocations from the U.S. Treasury. On May 10, 2021, Saline County was notified of an award in the amount of $10,532,376. Per terms of the Act, funds must be obligated by December 31, 2024, and fully expended no later than December 31, 2026.
On August 31, 2021, the Saline County Board of Commissioners approved a Framework for spending the funds received by the County. A copy of this Framework can be viewed in the Documents section of this web page. As individual programs within this Framework are announced, they will be posted on this page as well.
Please note that while this page will attempt to provide a variety of resources to help our community recover from COVID-19, the programs and funding amounts listed are specific to Saline County's Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funding. The ARPA is a large and complex piece of legislation and other entities are receiving funding as well. Each of the cities within Saline County will have its own Local Fiscal Recovery Funding; for information on how it is being spent, please contact the city directly, contact information below.
