We provide education for blood lead prevention for children and adults. This includes discussing with families ways to help reduce and eliminate elevated blood levels. We do NOT provide testing at the health department. We recommend you contact your primary care provider to arrange for testing of blood lead.
We can perform case investigations for reportable contagious diseases within Saline County and provide recommendations for treatment and disease control. Physicians, school nurses, and other health care providers report communicable diseases to the health department.
We can provide a few basic services such as blood pressure checks, weight checks, lice checks, and pregnancy testing. There is a charge for some of these services.

*We can not allow appointments to be made by others unless the appointment is for a minor. For Immunizations or TB testing, a parent/legal guardian will also need to accompany the minor to the appointment.
We have an on-site Spanish language interpreter is available for all of our services. Medical interpretation for other languages is available upon request.
Saline County Health Department provides additional services that include, lead, communicable disease, and nursing.
